From November 17 to 20, 2025, Tanjaka Food took part in the PlumpyField meeting, which brought together all members of the network in Cairo for a strategic moment of alignment, knowledge-sharing, and collective action. Two years after the edition was held in Madagascar, this gathering further strengthened synergies around our shared mission: preventing and treating malnutrition through local, accessible, and high-quality nutritional solutions.
Discussions focused on several common priorities and perspectives, including:
- improving product quality while enhancing accessibility;
- securing sustainable and resilient supply chains in a complex geopolitical context;
- addressing the growing impacts of climate change on nutrition, from agriculture to access;
- sharing knowledge and best practices to reinforce solidarity across the network;
- pursuing relevant innovation to meet evolving needs and environments.
This year’s edition also marked the 20th anniversary of the PlumpyField network, celebrating two decades of shared expertise, commitment, and local impact in support of nutritional self-reliance.
Spotlight: the SAMIL relocation
Participants visited the new SAMIL facility, relocated to Egypt following the destruction of its site in Sudan, an emblematic demonstration of the PlumpyField network’s resilience, solidarity, and adaptability.
By taking an active role in these exchanges, Tanjaka Food reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the development of the PlumpyField network and to advancing sustainable, high-quality nutritional solutions.
